Information You Provide

Auto Desktop Cleaner does not require an account. If you enable AI-powered naming, you provide your own OpenAI API key inside the app. The key is stored locally in macOS Keychain.

Auto Desktop Cleaner Data Handling

Auto Desktop Cleaner organizes files only in folders you explicitly choose. The app stores settings, folder rules, security-scoped folder permissions, and audit history locally on your Mac.

If AI-powered naming is enabled, the app may send file names, text excerpts, PDF text excerpts, and generated image thumbnails to OpenAI to suggest filenames. You can disable AI naming and use folder rules without sending file content to OpenAI.

We do not sell data from Auto Desktop Cleaner. We do not operate user accounts for the app, and we do not receive your OpenAI API key through the app.

Website Data

When you visit our website, our hosting and infrastructure providers may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, timestamps, and similar log data for security, diagnostics, and site performance.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide and improve our website, apps, and support; respond to messages; maintain security; troubleshoot issues; and comply with legal obligations.

Third-Party Services

We may use third-party service providers for hosting, infrastructure, email, app distribution, and AI processing. These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

• Vercel may process website hosting and log data.
• Apple may process App Store and app distribution information.
• OpenAI may process app requests when AI-powered naming is enabled in Auto Desktop Cleaner.

Retention

We retain contact and support information only as long as needed for business, support, legal, or security purposes. Auto Desktop Cleaner stores app data locally until you change settings, clear data, or uninstall/remove the app's container data.

Children's Privacy

Our website and apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your Choices

You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information you have provided to us. In Auto Desktop Cleaner, you can disable AI-powered naming, change selected folders, remove your OpenAI API key, or delete local app data from your Mac.
